Smartphones are powerful, but they can also be used to spy on you or waste data without your knowledge. Here’s how to protect your privacy and save mobile data.

1. Stop Camera Spying

On Android:

  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Permission Manager → Camera and disable access for apps you don’t trust.

  • Turn off Camera Access in Privacy settings when not in use.

  • Use a camera cover or sticker for extra security.

On iPhone:

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and manage permissions.

  • Watch for the green dot — it means the camera is active.

2. Disable Background Data Usage

On Android:

  • Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Data Usage and enable Restrict Background Data.

  • Turn on Data Saver Mode.

On iPhone:

  • Go to Settings → General → Background App Refresh and turn it off or set to Wi-Fi only.

  • In Settings → Cellular, disable data for unnecessary apps.

Tip: Regularly update your apps, review permissions, and avoid suspicious downloads. Small changes can keep your phone safe and fast.
